Russell Simmons Coming to Honolulu

Mark your calendars... Mr. Phat Farm himself is coming to town.

From an e-mail I got last week:

"Upscale Entertainment, Hot Lava Entertainment along with My Evolution Entertainment is bringing music and clothing icon Russell Simmons to Hawaii to host the Official Phat Farm "Beyond the Green Tour." The event is to introduce his new line of clothing "Beyond The Green." The event will take place on Thursday, June 22nd at one of Hawaii's premier nightspots, Fashion 45 at 2255 Kuhio Avenue on the 2nd Floor of the Waikiki Trade Center.

Russell Simmons, the godfather of hip-hop, has used street smarts and a platinum Rolodex to create a $300 million conglomerate which includes his clothing line Phat Farm. Since its inception in 1992, Phat Farm revenues have grown dramatically every year and is one of the highly soughted fashion lines today."
