Did you know that Story of the Year used to be known as BIG BLUE MONKEY?

Yup. For reals.

I'm glad they changed their name.

If you didn't know, these guys got started in St. Louis before moving to Southern California about four years ago. Once they got there, the band recorded "Page Avenue" and began touring almost immediately, dropping a heavier sound for one that was more emo.

Before SOTY takes the stage, however, island fans will get to see As I Lay Dying for the second time in as many years. Want to know more about the band, which includes someone born in Hawaii? Check out this story from last Friday's Star-Bulletin.

Tonight's concert is being promoted by Pau Hana Productions... doors open at 6 p.m. All ages welcome.
