Weekend Recap

It's not the best video, but that's a short clip of Jurassic 5's DJ Nu-Mark from my vantage point onstage at Pipeline on Saturday.

As with most hip-hop shows, fans had to wait until after midnight to see the actual performance... and J5 definitely didn't disappoint. They stayed until almost 2 a.m. before hanging out to sign autographs for a BUNCH of people who crowded the stage afterward.

Did you miss Friday's story about the group? Good thing it's on the Internet forever and ever and ever...

Back to that video I shot. At one point during the show, the rest of the group took a breather and Nu-Mark stepped out from behind the decks with a toy-like turntable that was plugged into the soundboard. Dude starts ABUSING that thing (in a good way), then puts it down to step up to a pair of Playskool toys that were plugged into another mixer, along with a beat machine.

What came next was just INSANE. The end of it is what you see above.

Here's another clip from YouTube... this was shot a couple of weeks ago in Cleaveland, OH:

Also... big up to the Tiki Entertainment family. I got to hang out at Panama Hattie's for a video shoot by Tiki artists Krystiles and Suga D. Good fun.
